Collection: Modular Helmets

A modular helmet gives you the protection of a full face helmet with the convenience of a flip-up chin bar. Lift it to talk, grab a drink, or get some air at a stop without taking your helmet off. That makes modulars a favourite with touring riders, commuters and riders who wear glasses.

Our range includes the Daytona C6, certified to both DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.06, with an anti-fog outer shield, drop-down smoke sun shield and Bluetooth compatibility, in gloss, matte and carbon fiber finishes. The Daytona Glide adds a great-value option in sizes up to 4XL. Comparing styles? Read modular vs full face vs open face helmets, or browse all full face helmets.

Why Choose a Modular Motorcycle Helmet?

A modular helmet, also called a flip-up helmet, gives you the coverage of a full face helmet with a chin bar that lifts up when you need it. That makes it one of the most practical helmet styles for touring riders, commuters and anyone who stops often.

  • Flip the chin bar up to talk, drink or pay at a fuel stop without removing your helmet.
  • Easier to put on and take off, which is especially helpful for riders who wear glasses.
  • Full face protection for highway riding when the chin bar is closed and locked.
  • A good platform for Bluetooth communication systems on longer rides.

Daytona C6 Modular Helmets

The Daytona C6 is certified to both DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.06. It is built with two shell sizes (XS to M and L to 2XL) for a more proportionate look, an anti-scratch, anti-fog outer shield, and a retractable smoke inner sun shield. A one-finger chin bar release, adjustable chin and forehead vents, emergency quick-release cheek pads and a removable, washable moisture-wicking liner make it comfortable for all-day riding. It is eyeglass compatible and Bluetooth compatible.

Modular vs Full Face Helmets

A full face helmet has a fixed chin bar, which usually makes it slightly lighter and quieter. A modular adds convenience at stops. For a detailed comparison, read modular vs full face vs open face helmets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I ride with the chin bar open?

Unless a helmet is specifically certified for riding in the open position, keep the chin bar closed and locked while riding. Open it only when stopped or moving very slowly.

Are modular helmets good for riders who wear glasses?

Yes. Lifting the chin bar makes it much easier to put the helmet on without knocking your glasses, and the Daytona C6 is designed to be eyeglass compatible.

Do modular helmets work with Bluetooth?

The Daytona C6 is Bluetooth compatible, so you can add a communication system for music, navigation and rider-to-rider calls.
